I have visited many places in Mexico it’s a beautiful place. Cabo is a tourist town, but I want to know your must see in Cabo San Lucas & surrounding areas. I watch the news, so I am aware on the current issues when traveling to Mexico. Please positive replies only post. I love Mexico!
It's pretty enough but feels kind of unfinished, with lots of construction projects. On the plus side, there are lots of coves and beaches. I'm now heading for Puerto Vallarta and will let you know what I think of it. Cruise ships stopped going to Acapulco because of the rise in crime. Other places to consider are Mazatlan and Zihuatanejo but I haven't been in the former in many years and have never been to the latter. I recall Guadalajara as being very nice but that was also years ago. More later.
I've never been to Los Barriles but I'm in Puerto Vallarta right now and like it a lot. I wish it were smaller but the south end of the bay has some gorgeous beaches, condos and hotels, especially at Mismaloya (which is where "Night of the Iguana" was filmed way back when). The weather, at least today, is perfect: overcast but low temp and dry. Not sure what it's like the rest of the time but it's far more tolerable than Huatulco and points south.
